*The 2N3583-85:

are silicon transistors in a TO66 type package designed for high
speed switching and linear amplifier applications for high−voltage operational amplifiers, switching
regulators, converters, inverters, deflection stages, and high fidelity amplifiers.

This specification covers the performance requirements for NPN, silicon, power  transistors. Three levels of product assurance (JAN, JANTX and JANTXV) are provided for this device type as specified in MIL-PRF-19500/384. The device package for the encapsulated device type are as follows: (TO-66).
